The moment I saw this set of photos, I was immediately reminded about the couple: sensible, fun, and happy! The threat of rain notwithstanding, they were able to successfully carry out the great task of the day: to create images that celebrate their love for each other.
Hope you enjoy these photos as much as we did! :-) Great job, Redfox! Looking forward to working with you on the wedding day!

OH, W@W!
Woke up rather early today and fumbled in the dark for my phones. In my Inbox, I saw a message that started with "We are happy to inform you..." from Ms. Benz Rana, co-founder of WeddingsAtWork, the Philippines' largest & most influential wedding resource website. I swear I had to rub my eyes to make sure I am reading it right. It's finally come to pass: we have been voted into the Top 10 Suppliers of the Year by our brides, both past & present.
We join the ranks of some of the industry's greats, most of whom just started their businesses a few years back. Vatel Manila is proud to find itself in this august company. This thing comes on the heels of our recent feature in the latest issue of Beautiful Weddings by Wedding Essentials, so you can just imagine how overwhelming this all is. Whether we make it to Top 5 is now moot and academic. Nothing is more important to us than having been recognized and supported by those whom we have served, and by those who we still have the pleasure & honor of serving.
To Abet & Benz Rana, you have created something so many people have appreciated. May it continue to do its purpose of being a reliable resource for those who need guidance and support. Mabuhay ang WeddingsAtWork! :-)
To The Mango Farm & GM Mike Santos, you made Vatel Manila's existence possible. Thank you from the bottom of my (infarcted) heart.
To our couples, you have given us so much this year! 2010 has been a harvest year for Vatel Manila. You have given us your trust & confidence. For this, we are eternally grateful.
To our fellow wedding suppliers, thank you for being gracious, warm, and welcoming! I always look forward to seeing you during our events together.
We dedicate this win to my Mother, Angelina Yap, whose love for flowers has given us so many pleasant memories of our childhood, and whose zest for life has given us the reason to enjoy the kind of life we now share with family and friends. You are terribly missed, Mom. How I wish you were here to see all this happening.
With much love and gratitude,
Dylan Yap Gozum

WEEEEE!
The Beautiful Weddings magazine by Wedding Essentials is finally out and 9 out of 23 featured bridal bouquets (one of them is actually a Mom's bouquet. ;-p) were made by us. We are humbled by this feature.
We've only just begun. There's still so much more in store for us and our future brides. Suffice to say that by being featured in this amazing magazine, it means that we're here to stay! We look forward to being of service to more brides who want beautiful floral arrangements on their big day. :-)
We dedicate this honor to all our past and future brides: you who first believed & trusted. We cannot thank you enough.
To the Editorial Team of WE (Ms. Marbee, you've been most gracious & welcoming!) & Tin Roxas (thank you for being the ever curious person that you are!), and to NicePrint and Jeff & Lisa for sending photos of our flowers, thank you! Thank you! Thank you! :-)

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam. To God be the Glory.

The Succulent Cacti-Craspedia bouquet of Mitch Gatlabayan-Carlos represented the batch in the Contents page. :-)
On the second page, the bouquets of Liza Vasquez-Miole, Karel AƱonuevo-Bayarcal, and one of the Mom's bouquets we made for Cecille Cui-Thomas's wedding, make their appearances. On the third page, Mitch's unique bouquet makes quite a splash (for the second time around!). At the middle part, Jing Victoriano-Acob's orange-yellow bouquet holds it own ground.
Four of our bouquets appear on the last page of the feature. Not bad for a start! :-)

{ CUBAO X & FRIENDS }
---
You know what they say about us wedding suppliers: we're the kind who stay up late nights and work like there's no tomorrow. But hey, we're people, too, and we try to make our lives as normal as possible by taking short breaks in between work. This should be one of those rare ones, unplanned as it was but lasting well into the night just the same.
Thanks for the swell time, guys, and for these amazingly warm & cozy photos! :-)

REAL WEDDING: { ILIE & MARICEL }
Has it been 8 months already? How time flies. I remember Maricel's first email about her all-white wedding concept and how everyone was virtually against it. The thing is, I was in a shabby-chic mode for 2010 and I sort of egged her on (so it's partly my fault, yes). It didn't help that she was also considering K. by Cunanan Catering so convincing her that her idea was worth all the trouble became so much easier.
It took some time before I got back to actually finalizing the costing as I usually leave it alone for a while just in case I hit my head on a pole or something and come up with better ideas. The "better idea" hit me the night before the wedding and nothing could have been more appropriate, IMHO, than the arrangements we eventually came up with for this wedding. Now that's what we call truly inspired.
Ilie & Maricel, we've 'traveled' together from the very beginning. From the invite design to the menu choices to the SDE song: name it, we've discussed it, ha ha! And heck, I'm not even your planner! I will surely miss our chance meetings in malls & wherever. Methinks we should plan to visit Bangkal soon and do the flea market circuit there! :-)
For now, let's bring out that box of Kleenex and enjoy the SDE prepared by Daniel Lei Studios (yet again!).

PREVIEW: MERVIN & GRACE (October 10, 2010)
We can't believe we survived 10.10.10 and lived to tell the tale! This is our second wedding this weekend and it has been really fun working on these two weddings because they're very different, and yet share certain similarities.
While we await the official photos, we present our own sneak peek into Mervin & Grace's wedding. Photo descriptions are in our Facebook page. :-)
