REAL WEDDING: FERDIE + LIZ
---
Looking at this set, one can already deduce that Ferdi and Liz exerted so much effort on visualizing and in preparing the details of their wedding. I mean, how many times do you see zebra patterns on the guest tables in a lifetime? How many times does one do a black-hot pink motif in a year? How often do we see a polka-dot wedding cake? Or an afternoon reception for that matter? These and more add to the sum of this wedding's parts, and we're just too happy to be in it!
We're also happy be working with suppliers that we're comfortable with starting with Joey Boquiren (one of my favorites!), up and coming videographer Kris Matanguihan, & K. by Cunanan Catering all together in my home base at The Mango Farm. This wedding was blessed with so much nice sun and that helped make their wedding photos all the more pretty!
Bride Liz is one keen follower of Vatel Manila and this is evident in some things like the vintage-y juice dispensers & the tin tub with drinks & ice during cocktails (props that were used during my birthday party a month before!). What's amazing, too, was that Liz did her own makeup (she does it for a living! Check it out here!) Again, how many times will you meet a bride who does her own makeup? This proves why we should cherish the memory of every wedding we do. They may have the same themes, same color schemes, same program flow but the people involved - their characters, their joys, their quirks (!), their ideas - are unique to that wedding alone. This wedding is one of those that we'll definitely remember for a long time. :-)
Liz & Ferdi, thank you for making us part of your day. We leave you with a line or two from the Bard's Henry V.:
God, the best maker of all marriages,
Combine your hearts in one, your realms in one!
- Queen Isabel, Act 5, Scene II, Henry V (William Shakespeare)
