It was one of those really slow days. I was killing time by crawling Facebook when I came upon this cover of a {Mag} Rouge Magazine issue. Shot by the one, the only Jose Villa, it totally blew my mind away - I knew we just had to do a shoot inspired by this cover. I shared it on my Wall with a note that I wish we could do a shoot someday. Within the hour, the creative team was born. How awesome is that?!
We're very happy to share this shoot with you because apart from the great fun that we derived from working on it, we also had the chance to know each other better. In fact, this was the first time we ever met and worked with Cherryblocks, our photographer for this set. And although we've worked many times with Mayad Studios, it was only via this editorial that we got to meet the creatives behind this very well-known brand.
We're also very happy to be working with Aira Franco & Fritz Mortel again: this was our second time to work together, and the second time with a floral head wreath ("It's so huge its got its own zip code!", exclaims Patty). And who wouldn't fall in love with the fabulous work of Mayone? The makeup was just gorgeously natural and flawless. And that fish-tail braid? Just. Mind-Blowingly. Awesome.
And boy, were were blessed to have Bride & Breakfast as our sponsor & media partner, and for the most pleasant, funny, and beautiful Patty Laurel to be our mowdel for the day. For her great generosity, we thank her from the bottom of our hearts. ^_^
