There's something about wedding vows when said / read in the vernacular: it sounds more endearing, real, and heart-warming. Certain words like 'mabuti', 'mapagmahal', and 'mapag-kalinga' are bigger and deeper than their actual English counterparts.
We're glad that Alan & Jane decided to say their vows in Pilipino. Not many do this anymore (perhaps owing to the fact that more and more foreigner-friends are attending weddings here), but it's a breathe of fresh air to hear things like they come straight from the heart. ^_^
