“Love was a feeling completely bound up with color, like thousands of rainbows superimposed one on top of the other.” - Paulo Coelho
We looove weddings that are different. In the Philippines, we call things that are different, 'kakaiba'. Not the usual, but not necessarily rebellious (at least not in the true sense of the word). KC & Wendy's wedding was one such kakaiba event.
What we love about their day is the choice of bold colors - perfect both for the Summer and for their choice of photographer. Methinks this is a courageous act, choosing bold colors, because we are a country of white, cream, and ecru weddings. And bright colors can be unforgiving to certain skin tones or body types. But once we saw the entourage outfits, it totally blew our minds away! How awesome are those diamond patterns on those dresses! One of the prettiest things we've ever seen. It complemented other patters found in their reception like gingham fabrics in varying hues of red & the paper buntings (colorful, of course!) on the ceiling - all done by our good friend, Justine Bumanlag, of SaSO Event Styling.
We also loved that Groom KC wore a blue suit, something we don't see much in a sea of blacks and grays. The cut was very flattering, and it really went well with the red socks and the rich caramel-colored leather shoes. Our craft team made him a fabric boutonniere, but we were surprised that he opted to wear a fresh one as well. ^_^
Overall, we love this wedding for the warmth that it gives. Props go to WeKenLove for capturing everything so beautifully! We simply matched their shooting style with colorful blooms to soften the solid colors and to add a little touch of whimsy. And have you seen the wedding cake? Now THAT is unusual. This definitely is one wedding that we'd remember for a long time.
